Davis Staffing, Inc has immediate needs for Packers for a customer in Matteson, Il.
The Battery Pack Packer is responsible for safely packaging finished battery products according to company quality, safety, and shipping standards. This role ensures that batteries are properly labeled, inspected, and prepared for storage or shipment while maintaining compliance with hazardous material handling procedures and workplace safety regulations.
Job Qualifications Include:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred

• Steel toe boots or shoes

• Previous experience in manufacturing, warehouse, or packaging roles preferred but not required

• Ability to follow written instructions and safety procedure

• Basic attention to detail and quality standards

• Ability to lift up to 40lbs and stand for extended periods

• Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment

• Basic math and counting skills for packaging quantities

Job Responsibilities Include:

• Package finished battery products according to established packing procedures and specifications

• Inspect batteries and packaging materials for defects, damage, or contamination prior to packing

• Apply appropriate labels, barcodes, and documentation required for battery shipments

• Follow hazardous material handling and packaging guidelines for lithium or other battery types

• Maintain accurate production and packing records

• ·Operate basic packaging equipment such as sealers, labelers, banders, and pallet wrappers when required

Job Details Include:

• Long term temp

• 12 hour shift

• 8:00 pm - 8:00 am

• $18 an hour
