Are you an experienced Reach Truck Operator looking for a challenging and rewarding opportunity? We are hiring for a skilled Reach Truck Operator in our Virginia Beach, Virginia facility. In this role, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently operating a reach truck to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count merchandise. Your expertise will be vital in ensuring the smooth flow of goods within our warehouse, contributing directly to our overall logistics efficiency. We prioritize a safe working environment and expect all operators to adhere to strict safety guidelines.
Responsibilities:
- Safely operate a reach truck to move pallets of goods within the warehouse.
- Load and unload trucks efficiently and accurately.
- Pick and put away inventory in designated racking systems.
- Perform daily pre-operation inspections of the reach truck and report any issues.
- Maintain accurate inventory records by scanning items and updating the system.
- Assist with physical inventory counts and stock checks.
- Follow all company safety procedures and guidelines to prevent accidents.
- Ensure the work area is kept clean and organized.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve daily operational goals.
- Proven experience operating a reach truck.
- Valid certification for operating a reach truck is required.
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) is a plus.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong understanding of warehouse safety regulations.
- Must be able to perform tasks requiring significant Lifting and material handling.
- Commitment to wearing required PPE , including safety glasses and gloves.
- Knowledge of proper equipment maintenance and inspection procedures.
- Excellent spatial awareness and manual dexterity.
- Demonstrated commitment to workplace Safety .
