Position Details
  • Base Location: Coventry
  • Hours: 28 hours per week (4 days)
  • Salary: Up to £34,507 FTE (£43,134.00)
  • Benefits:
    • £3,000 Car Allowance
    • 30 days' Annual Leave (increasing to 35 days with length of service) + Bank Holidays

  • Office Location: Long Eaton
  • Caseload Area: Midlands and South Yorkshire (no more than 1 hour's drive, with occasional flexibility required)
Your Role

As a Supervising Social Worker , you will play a crucial role in supporting foster parents and ensuring high standards of care. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing direct support to foster parents within a manageable caseload.
  • Conducting regular supervision sessions to monitor practice and compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Collaborating with children, young people, foster parents, and other professionals to ensure full participation in assessments and decision-making processes.
What We’re Looking For

We are seeking a qualified and experienced Social Worker who is:

  • Enthusiastic and Committed: You appreciate the vital role of foster parents and are dedicated to their success.
  • Collaborative: You have experience working alongside foster parents as professional colleagues.
  • Knowledgeable: You possess a comprehensive understanding of relevant legislation and publications related to children's services.
  • Skilled: Excellent report writing abilities and good IT skills are essential.
  • Flexible: Willing to adapt your working pattern and travel as needed.
Requirements
  • A Social Care England recognized qualification in Social Work or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in children and families social work.
  • A full driving license and access to your own car.
