Your Role

We are on the lookout for an enthusiastic and innovative teacher to join our dedicated team in Hampshire and Dorset. In this pivotal role, you will:

  • Support the education of children across the South region.
  • Provide guidance to foster carers, schools, and a diverse network of professionals.
  • Utilize your adaptability to teach across all key stages and support children with complex needs.
Requirements

To thrive in this role, you should possess:

  • Qualified Teacher Status
  • Relevant classroom experience
  • A flexible and creative approach to supporting children's education
  • Strong decision-making skills to resolve complex educational issues
  • A solid understanding of the educational needs and entitlements for children and young people
Your Responsibilities

As an Advisory Teacher, you will:

  • Advise on educational provisions for children within the centre.
  • Monitor the educational progress of all children associated with the centre.
  • Support centre staff on educational matters.
  • Assist in developing education support policies and procedures.
  • Participate in multi-disciplinary team meetings, advising on childcare and personal education plans.
  • Communicate effectively with professionals to ensure each child's educational needs are met.
  • Collaborate with children, young people, foster parents, and professionals to support assessment, planning, and safeguarding processes.
  • Provide advice to schools as needed.
  • Maintain accurate and effective education case records.
  • Build strong relationships with schools, virtual schools, and local authority professionals.
