Basic Salary: £28,938.13 per annum (dependent upon experience)

We are looking for a Full-Time Supervising Social Worker who is enthusiastic and motivated to join our friendly team in the North West. With a hybrid working model, you’ll enjoy the flexibility of working from home while making a meaningful impact in the community.

• Support foster parents and their families to achieve outstanding outcomes for children and young people in foster care.
• Monitor the suitability and competence of foster parents, ensuring a safe and nurturing environment.
• Educate carers on the fostering task, competencies, and FCA policies.
• Provide regular supervision to allocated foster parents in line with FCA's Operational Standards.
• Collaborate with the child's network to identify needs and provide support.
• Ensure compliance with all key documentation for children and foster parents.
• Attend meetings and provide reports for Commissioning Teams.
• Encourage participation of children/young people in agency development and community resources.
• Participate in an 'out of hours' support service on a rota basis.
• Conduct occasional initial home visits and Form F Assessments.

• A Social Work qualification
• Professional registration with Social Work England or equivalent
• Proven ability to produce high-quality reports
• Comprehensive knowledge of relevant legislation and child safeguarding procedures
• Willingness to travel extensively (including occasional nights away)
• Confidence in transporting children and young people in challenging situations
• Full driving license
