About the RoleWe are seeking enthusiastic Residential Support Workers to join our team in Dorchester . In this role, you will be instrumental in delivering personalized care packages that cater to the unique needs of each child and young adult. You will work alongside a supportive team that values your individuality and professional growth.
What You'll Do- Provide compassionate care and support to children and young people.
- Establish and maintain trusting relationships with our young residents.
- Promote the welfare and safeguarding of our young people.
- Encourage the development of individual interests and skills.
- Collaborate effectively with your team and accept guidance.
- Experience working with children and young people, with an understanding of the challenges they face.
- Flexibility to work 7 x 24-hour shifts, including sleep-ins, on a 3-week rotation.
- Willingness to pursue a Residential Childcare/Families Practitioner Diploma or equivalent, with a goal to upgrade to Level 4.
- A full UK driving license and access to a car for travel.
- Excellent communication and listening skills.
- A desire to learn and grow within the role.
- Experience with Emotional Behavioral Disorder or Youth Work is a plus.
- A competitive base salary starting at £24,604.58 (unqualified) or £27,107.08 (qualified), with potential earnings up to £32,348.58 or £34,851.08 respectively, including sleep-in shifts.
- A sleep-in allowance of £64 per night .
- Up to 6 weeks of holiday per year.
