Credit Union Manager – Small, Member-Focused Credit Union
Location: 18 Government Center Lane, Verona, VA 24482
Full-Time/Salary: $57,184 - $69,057 DOQ + Benefits

The Board of Directors for the Augusta County Federal Credit Union are recruiting for a Credit Union Manager. The Credit Union was formed in 1957 whose field of membership would be the Employees of the Board of Education of Augusta County, Virginia and the name of the Credit Union would be Augusta County Education Association Federal Credit Union. In September of 1976, the name of the Credit Union was amended to Augusta County Federal Credit Union and the field of membership as defined in the Credit Union’s charter was amended to add employees of Augusta County and Valley Vocational Technical School. The charter has been amended over the years to include entities into the membership. The Augusta County Federal Credit Union field of membership are the employees and members of their families of Augusta County, Augusta County Schools, Valley Vocational Technical School, Augusta County Service Authority, Shenandoah Valley Social Services and Middle River Regional Jail Authority.
The Credit Union Manager manages all aspects of the Credit Union to include planning, organizing, directing and coordinating the staff, programs and activities of the Credit Union in accordance with the Credit Union policies as established by the Board of Directors. The Manager is responsible for ensuring the financial stability and member satisfaction commensurate with the best interest of the members, the employees and the Credit Union. The Manager will provide strategic direction, vision, leadership and management in all functional areas.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversees daily operations and financial management of the credit union, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, annual audit and internal policies.
- Lead and support a small staff in delivering excellent member service.
- Manage lending, deposit services, and office operations.
- Work with the Board of Directors in the development of an annual budget that is consistent with the overall strategic plan.
- Develop and implement strategic plans to grow membership and assets.
- Report directly to the Board of Directors and provide regular financial and operational updates.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in credit union or banking management.
- Strong understanding of lending, compliance, and member services.
- Leadership skills with a collaborative and service-oriented mindset.
- Experience with financial reporting and regulatory requirements (NCUA).
- Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or related field preferred, but not required.
Salary & Benefits
The hiring salary for the position is $57,184 - $69,057 depending on qualifications.
