Material and Equipment Coordinator/Forklift Operator

Job Description

A Material Coordinator manages the flow of materials, ensuring production has what it needs by receiving, storing, and distributing supplies across the project, while tracking inventory and coordinating with on site supervisors.

This is a field position, requiring individuals to work outside on construction sites.

We have projects ranging throughout Florida, Georgia, Tennessee, and South Carolina. Travel and extended stays may be required depending on where jobsite is located.

Responsibilities include:

-Operating a forklift to load/unload lumber and materials when receiving materials

-Moving materials throughout the jobsite to ensure production continues

-Maintaining accurate daily inventory of all materials and keep logs

-Monitoring and accounting for tools/equipment on site

-Keeping material areas organized according to the 5S's of success (Sort, Set, Shine, Standardize, and Sustain)

Requirements:

-Forklift experience required

-Strong Organizational skills and attention to details

-Ability to work independently and take ownership of materials and equipment

-Reliable transportation and strong work ethic.
