DEPARTMENT:   Pricing/Estimating

POSITION ACCOUNTABLE TO: Business Development Manager

JOB SUMMARY: We are seeking an Estimator/Pricing Clerk that will provide pricing for jobs dropped off by customers within a 24-hour period and/or provide quotes for customers within a 24 to 48-hour turnaround. Quotes may entail reading and interpreting blueprints, specifications and other documents provided by customers. The position will interact directly with customers and internally with our production and finance teams to develop a proper job price or quote.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

o   Learn and become familiar with our metal finishing business to determine the processes involved to complete a job for quoting, pricing, and price verification.

o   Review pricing and verify accuracy after job completion.

o   Work with the business development team to price and quote new jobs.

o   Develop estimates of time and material cost requirements to complete jobs.

o   Develop a price or quote for customer jobs by gathering proposals, blueprints, specifications, and related documents.

o   Deliver price and quotes within established turnaround guidelines.

REQUIRED SKILLS:

o    High standard of attention to detail.

o    Ability to manage time and prioritize work in an effective manner.

o    Self-starter capable of dealing with a variety of customers in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment with a customer service orientation.

o    Must possess strong communication and exceptional interpersonal skills while being highly professional.

o    Must be able to read, write, and comprehend the English language.

o    Ability to work alone as well as in a team environment.

o    Proficient with Microsoft Office Programs (Outlook, Word, Excel).

o    Ability to pass the required background & drug screen.

OPTIONAL SKILLS:

o    Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus

EDUCATION / WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

o    High school diploma/GED required. College degree is a plus.

o    Ability to read and interpret blueprints is a plus.
