Lead Warehouse Associate

Job Description

The position will assist in leading the warehouse operations and staff while also performing various warehouse duties. This includes shipping, receiving and maintaining inventory of all materials for Savannah Surfaces.

Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Act as lead of daily activities and staff including shipping and receiving of materials, preparing and scheduling deliveries, maintaining established inventory levels and records for equipment/vehicles, repairs, and tool purchases.
• Ensure warehouse is kept clean, safe, secure and orderly
• Interact with customers ensuring the highest level of customer service
• Receive and process incoming stock and materials, including pick, fill, pack and ship orders, as well as manage, organize and retrieve stock in the warehouse
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Use basic hand tools ( ie: hammer, saw, etc)
• Able to regularly lift and/or move objects in excess of 50 pounds
• High School Diploma
• Basic math and computer skills required including MS office, word and excel. QuickBooks a plus
• Previous warehouse experience in a lead position or supervisory role
• Knowledge of shipping and receiving procedures. Inventory experience a plus.
• Tile/Stone experience a plus
• Ability to multi-task
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Ability to prepare and maintain records and reports
• Ability to work independently and as a member of a team
• Forklift experience/certification a plus
