Overview
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Parts Inspector to join a well-established manufacturing operation producing high-performance forged components. This is a hands-on role ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and takes pride in ensuring product quality at every stage of production.
You’ll play a key role on the production floor, performing real-time inspections and helping maintain strict quality standards on critical components.
What You’ll Do
- Take hourly part samples directly from production (hammer/press)
- Perform visual and dimensional inspections using precision tools
- Utilize equipment such as calipers, micrometers, and height gauges
- Conduct non-destructive testing (Magnaflux) as needed
- Identify and report non-conformances in real time
- Record and track inspection data accurately in Excel
- Support dimensional studies and basic capability analysis
- Assist with corrective action investigations
- Safely transport materials using a forklift
- Follow all safety standards and procedures in a production environment
What We’re Looking For
Required:
- 2–5+ years of experience in part inspection or similar role
- Manufacturing experience (steel, forging, or machining environments preferred)
- Proficiency using inspection tools (calipers, micrometers, height gauges, etc.)
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Comfortable working around heavy equipment in a fast-paced setting
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Basic Excel skills for data entry and tracking
Preferred (Not Required):
- Experience with Magnaflux or other non-destructive testing methods
- Experience with dimensional studies or capability analysis
- Forklift experience
- Experience supporting corrective action investigations

Schedule & Overtime
- 12-hour shifts (day or night options available)
- Typical work weeks range from 40–50 hours
- Overtime opportunities available based on production needs
- Potential for 4-day workweeks (10-hour shifts) during slower periods
Compensation & Benefits
- Competitive hourly pay: $18–$21/hour
- 6-month contract-to-hire with long-term opportunity

Shift Options:
- 1st Shift: 6:00 AM – 6:00 PM
