Compensation: $24.00 to $30.00 per hour (DOE – Inventory Specialist higher rate)
Schedule: 7:00 AM to 3:45 PM with 45 minute lunch
Reports To: Production Manager / Operations Manager
Position Summary
Campbell Engineering Inc., an AS9100D and ISO 9001:2015 certified precision manufacturer serving aerospace, defense, medical, and industrial markets, is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Shipping / Receiving / Delivery Driver .
This position is responsible for receiving, inspecting, handling, storing, and delivering materials and finished goods while maintaining strict compliance with quality, traceability, and customer requirements. The role includes operation of a company vehicle for local deliveries.
Essential Functions (ADA-Compliant)
The following functions are considered essential job duties:
Shipping & Receiving
- Receive incoming materials and verify accuracy against purchase orders and packing slips
- Inspect for counterfeit materials
- Inspect incoming goods for damage and conformance
- Accurately enter transactions into ERP system (receipts, transfers, adjustments)
- Prepare outgoing shipments per customer, regulatory, and carrier requirements
- Package materials to prevent damage and ensure compliance
Inventory Control
- Maintain inventory accuracy through cycle counts and physical inventory
- Perform perpetual inventory transactions and adjustments
- Support year-end inventory processes and reconciliation
- Ensure proper identification, labeling, and traceability of materials
- Assess inventory methods, placement, use for greatest efficiency
Delivery Driver Responsibilities
- Safely operate company vehicle for local pickups and deliveries
- Load and unload materials while ensuring secure transport
- Maintain delivery documentation and obtain proof of delivery
- Follow all traffic laws and company driving policies
General Operations
- Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas
- Communicate effectively with internal teams and customers
- Follow company quality management system (QMS) procedures
- Adhere to all safety policies and protocols
Marginal Functions
- Assist other departments as needed
- Support continuous improvement initiatives (Kaizen, 5S, etc.)
Minimum Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of experience in shipping, receiving, logistics, or inventory control
- Valid California Driver’s License
- Driving record that meets company insurance underwriting requirements
- Ability to lift and carry up to 40 pounds regularly
- Experience with ERP systems (ProShop or similar preferred)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook; Access a plus)
- Typing proficiency of approximately 45 WPM
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English as required to understand work instructions, safety procedures, shipping documentation, and regulatory requirements
- Strong problem-solving and time management skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
- High level of accuracy in data entry and inventory handling
Work Environment & Physical Demands
- Manufacturing/shop environment (noise, machinery, material handling)
- Frequent standing, walking, bending, and lifting
- Regular lifting of up to 40 pounds; occasional lifting above this with assistance
- Driving for local deliveries

Driver & Compliance Requirements
- Must be eligible to operate a company vehicle under company insurance guidelines
- Participation in the California DMV Pull Notice Program may be required
- Driving record will be reviewed in accordance with applicable laws
- Continued employment in this role is contingent upon maintaining an acceptable driving record
Quality & Regulatory Compliance (AS9100 / ITAR / CUI)
- Must comply with Campbell Engineering Inc.’s Quality Management System (QMS)
- May be required to handle Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI)
- Must comply with all applicable ITAR/EAR regulations , including restrictions on unauthorized access or disclosure of controlled technical data
- Adherence to customer-specific and regulatory flow-down requirements is mandatory
