Warehouse Dock Associate (Second Shift)

Job Description

Position Summary

Moving freight on a sit-down forklift to be loaded/unloaded to/from trucks. Maintaining cleanliness and following safety standards. MountainMovers Transportation and Logistics is in need of an experienced Cross-Dock warehouse associate. This position is onsite and hours are afternoons to night.

PLEASE NOTE: Must have Dock experience preferably with a freight company  (NO distribution centers)

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:

• Picking and staging outbound shipments
• Loading trucks based on predetermined route
• Unloading inbound freight
• Scaling inbound freight & placing it into designated locations
• Assisting LTL desk with picking & loading freight
• Communicating with truck drivers to properly secure outbound freight
• Organizing warehouse to ensure each pallet is accessible and visible
• Keep warehouse clean & organized (i.e. sweeping, taking out trash, folding blankets & straps)
• Completing daily forklift checklist & cleaning forklift every day at the end of shift

Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)

• Cross-Dock Experience
• STRONG organizational and time management skills
• Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
• Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
• Familiarity with transportation and logistics industry is a must
• Team player, who will jump in to ensure the company meets all deadlines for the day and a "whatever it takes" attitude to complete the job for all of our customers

Physical Demands and Work Environment

· Must be able to operate a sit-down forklift

· Must be able to lift up to 50lbs
