Job Description

Rightstone is looking for aMaterial Handler in Grand Rapids, MI. The pay rate is $18/hr.for a 6-month contract, with potential for permanent placement based on performance.

In this role, you will manage the flow of materials across both the indoor warehouse and the outdoor material yard. You will work independently to fulfill customer orders,operateheavy material handling equipment, and ensure that all shipments are packed and loaded with 100% accuracy. This is a fast-paced, high-activity position suited for someone who enjoys a variety of tasks and a positive team environment.

What you will do

• Load, unload, and move industrial materials efficiently within the warehouse and the outdoor yard site.
• Fill customer orders and issue materials/supplies accurately based on digital and printed requests.
• Operate a variety of material handling equipment, including forklifts, pallet jacks, hand trucks, and dollies.
• Pack and stage customer orders for shipment, ensuring all items are secured for transport.
• Utilize basic math and communication skills to verify labels, tickets, and product documentation.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment in compliance with company safety standards.
• Adapt to changing work conditions, including moving between climate-controlled and outdoor environments.
• Support overall warehouse flow byassistingwith receiving and inventory replenishment as needed.

Whatwe’relooking for

• At least 18 years of age.
• Previousexperience in warehouse operations, receiving, or order fulfillment ishighly helpful.
• Proven ability tooperate(or willingness to be trained on) forklifts and other heavy machinery.
• Physical ability tofrequentlylift, push, carry, and slide packages weighing up to 75 lbs.
• Stamina to stand andmovethroughout the warehouse and yard for the duration of an 8-hour shift.
• Ability to work comfortably in various temperatures and outdoor weather conditions.
• Strong attention to detail and time management skills to meet daily shipping deadlines.
• Required PPE: Safety-toe (steel or composite) shoes are mandatory.
• Must be able to work the full-time schedule of Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM.
