Your responsibilities will include accurately picking orders, carefully packaging items to prevent damage during transit, generating shipping labels, coordinating with carriers, and maintaining organized shipping docks. A strong understanding of warehouse operations and a commitment to accuracy are essential. We foster a work environment that prioritizes safety above all else; therefore, strict adherence to all company safety guidelines and the mandatory use of personal protective equipment (PPE) is expected. Tasks may involve regular lifting of items up to 40 lbs. Experience within the logistics sector is highly advantageous. Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick customer orders using RF scanners or pick lists.
- Package items securely to prevent damage during shipping.
- Generate shipping labels and prepare documentation for various carriers (UPS, FedEx, USPS, LTL).
- Schedule and coordinate pickups with shipping carriers.
- Maintain an organized and clean shipping area.
- Conduct quality checks on outgoing orders.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including the mandatory use of PPE.
- Assist with inventory control and cycle counts as needed.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a shipping or warehouse role.
- Ability to perform lifting of up to 40 lbs regularly.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Proficiency with shipping software and carrier portals.
- Understanding of logistics and supply chain best practices.
- Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment and using PPE.
