Ketjen is seeking an Electrical and Instrumentation Engineer with the ambition to grow into a Project Management role for its Amsterdam site.

What You Will Do

• E&I basic engineering, translate an idea into an E&I scope and cost estimate.

• Compiling, standardizing, evaluating and optimizing electrical installations that conform to maintenance strategies, laws and regulations and calculation models

• Archive and maintain periodic updates of the relevant electrical installation documents.

• Managing and / or supporting (maintenance) projects (E & I content, planning and budget).

• Outsourcing (detail engineering), supervision and control of E&I engineering activities

• Advising and supporting colleagues, plants and departments within the corporate policy frameworks, to improve the E & I quality of the production and maintenance process.

• Ensure electrical standardization for improvement of safety and quality in accordance with EU legal guidelines.

What You Bring

Required:

• At least HBO Electrical Engineering or equivalent

• +3 years’ experience in the process industry or engineering firm.

• Firm E&I basic engineering skills to translate ideas into E&I scopes and budgets.

• Knowledge of information systems, environmental requirements, quality, safety and ARBO standards

• Knowledge of NEN standards and their application

• Knowledge of current developments in the E & I discipline (knowledge of automation is an advantage).

• Be able to operate well conceptually and analytically

• Knowledge of the Dutch (must), English and (possibly) German language, verbally and in writing

• Strong communication skills

• Able to operate outside the electrical & instrumentation boundaries in order to be able to implement the best multi-disciplinary solution.

Preferred:

• More years of Electrical experience or experience as project manager is a pre.
