Tool Crib Inventory Specialist

Job Description

We are is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Maintenance Crib Attendant / Inventory Coordinator to support plant operations. This role is responsible for managing and organizing the maintenance crib, ensuring critical spare parts are properly stocked, tracked, and readily available to support production and maintenance teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Reorganize and optimize the maintenance crib to ensure efficient storage and accessibility of tools and spare parts
• Maintain appropriate inventory levels of critical spare parts to support ongoing operations
• Develop and implement replenishment quantities and inventory control processes
• Establish and manage a check-in/check-out system for tools and spare parts to ensure accurate tracking
• Create and maintain purchase order (PO) tracking reports to monitor orders, deliveries, and vendor timelines
• Coordinate with vendors to expedite parts as needed to avoid downtime
• Maintain a clean, organized, and secure crib area at all times
• Assist with labeling, categorizing, and organizing inventory using best practices
• Communicate effectively with supervisors and maintenance teams regarding inventory needs and availability
• Follow all safety procedures, including lockout/tagout protocols and company guidelines
• Promote a culture of teamwork, accountability, and safety
• Perform additional duties as assigned

Qualifications & Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED required
• Less than 1 year of relevant experience (entry-level candidates encouraged to apply)
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for tracking and reporting inventory
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions accurately
• Basic ability to read and interpret blueprints to identify and classify parts
• Experience with warehouse or inventory organization methods (rack labeling systems, label printers, etc.) preferred
• Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
• Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment

• Fast-paced environment requiring attention to detail and organization
• Interaction with maintenance, operations, and purchasing teams
