Job Description
Columbia Vehicle Group is seeking hardworking Material Handlers. Material Handlers are responsible for performing an array of duties such as receiving and processing incoming stock and materials, picking and filling orders from stock, packing and shipping orders. The Material Handlers supports daily warehouse and logistics operations by receiving, tracking, storing, and preparing merchandise for shipment. This role works closely with the Production Team to ensure materials and products are handled safely, accurately, and efficiently while maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
Job Responsibilities
Work collaboratively as part of a team to support warehouse and production operations
Welcome and assist delivery trucks upon arrival
Receive, inspect, and track incoming shipments
Load merchandise onto delivery trucks using appropriate tools and equipment
Carefully handle and accommodate fragile merchandise
Track and document exact shipment arrival and departure times
Tag, label, and stock merchandise according to established warehouse assignments
Box, wrap, and pack merchandise following procedures and standards
Prepare and stage all orders for shipment
Record, manage, and report any impaired or damaged merchandise
Operate material-handling equipment, including forklifts
Enter and maintain accurate data in inventory and logistics software systems
Assist the Production Team with forklift operations and other projects as needed
Follow all safety guidelines, policies, and procedures
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
Inspect and report any issues related to parts, tools, or processes
Skill Requirements
Hands-on experience with inventory and logistics software programs
Strong physical stamina and manual dexterity
Team-oriented mindset with the ability to work collaboratively
Good organizational and time-management skills
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Problem-solving ability
Education and Experience Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent required
Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Warehouse Worker or in a similar role
Valid driver’s license required
Time Requirements
Full-time position
Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Must be flexible to meet operational needs
