Material Handler Forklift Operator

Job Description

We are recruiting a Material Handler Forklift Operator to join our team! Your position will focus on safe and efficient movement of products and materials.

Responsibilities:

• Safely operate forklifts and pallet jacks to move materials throughout the warehouse
• Pick, pack, and stage customer orders accurately according to shipping documentation
• Load and unload trucks using forklifts or manual equipment
• Prepare pallets and shipments for outbound freight carriers
• Inspect incoming shipments for damage or discrepancies
• Stage outbound shipments for pickup by freight carriers
• Ensure orders are properly packaged and labeled according to shipping requirements
• Follow all warehouse safety procedures and OSHA guidelines
• Properly handle materials according to safety data sheets (SDS) and company policies
• Maintain clean and organized work areas to prevent hazards
• Use personal protective equipment (PPE) when required

​Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED
• 2+ years of Warehouse experience
• Ability to operate forklifts and pallet jacks.
• Forklift Certification
• Ability to lift 50+ pounds regularly
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift for extended periods
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Basic Math, Reading, and Comprehension skills
• Willingness to Learn
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment 

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience working in industrial, chemical, or logistics warehouses
• Familiarity with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS)
• Hazmat Certification
• OSHA certification
