Food Packer

Job Description

Position Overview:

The Expo/Food Packer plays a key role in ensuring that all orders are accurate, neatly packaged, and ready on time. This person serves as the communication link between the kitchen and the front counter, maintaining efficiency, food quality, and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

• Coordinate and organize completed food orders from the kitchen.
• Check each order for accuracy, correct items, and special instructions.
• Package hot and cold items properly to maintain quality during transport. 
• Communicate effectively with cooks, cashiers, and delivery drivers to ensure smooth order flow.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the expo and packing area.
• Refill packaging supplies (bags, boxes, containers, sauces, utensils, napkins).
• Assist with side tasks like restocking condiments, prepping containers, or answering phones during busy periods.
• Follow safety and food handling procedures at all times.

Qualifications:

• Previous restaurant or takeout experience preferred, but not required.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Reliable, punctual, and organized.
• Ability to stand for long periods and lift packages up to 35 lbs.

Schedule:

• Hours: Evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
