Shipping Coordinator

Job Summary:
The Shipping Coordinator manages all outbound shipping activities to ensure products are delivered accurately, on time, and in compliance with regulations. This role coordinates with Production, Quality, Customer Service, and Materials to meet customer requirements and support a regulated aerospace manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Coordinate daily outbound shipments and ensure on-time delivery.
• Prepare and review shipping documents (packing slips, bills of lading, certifications, export paperwork).
• Verify part numbers, quantities, lot traceability, packaging, and labeling.
• Ensure proper packaging, palletization, and safe loading practices.
• Schedule carriers, manage freight quotes, and resolve shipping issues.
• Record shipments accurately in the ERP system and maintain shipping records.
• Investigate and resolve discrepancies or documentation errors.
• Support compliance with quality standards (AS9100) and export regulations (ITAR/EAR).
• Work with Quality to include required certifications and inspection records.
• Communicate shipping priorities with internal teams and escalate risks as needed.
• Support continuous improvement to reduce errors and optimize shipping costs.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED required; logistics or supply chain coursework preferred.
• 3–5 years of shipping, logistics, or warehouse experience (aerospace or regulated manufacturing preferred).
• ERP and shipping software experience.
• Knowledge of shipping documentation and carrier coordination.
• Forklift certification required or ability to obtain.
• Strong attention to detail, organization, and communication skills.
