Job Description
The goal of the Junior Specialist, Inventory is to execute, coordinate, and support the business by establishing, maintaining, and optimizing our global inventory system. At this level, the job holder is familiar with most inventory tasks and is able to perform well-defined tasks with little guidance. Proactively reports on the status of his/her work and provides feedback as needed.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Confirm material deliveries from suppliers or other global locations by executing goods receipt postings in the ERP system and delivering materials to designated storage locations.
- Monitor incoming inventory shipments from various global locations and coordinate resolution of related discrepancies or issues.
- Provide requested inventory parts to internal customers and accurately record inventory transactions.
- Assist with the loading and unloading of materials and equipment.
- Participate in scheduled and cycle inventory counts to maintain accurate stock records.
- Maintain organization and accuracy of warehouse inventory systems.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience
- Vocational training, apprenticeship, or similar education in warehouse operations or a related field required.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in warehouse operations preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of inventory management experience preferred.
- Experience with production and manufacturing processes and techniques preferred.
- Experience working in an international and culturally diverse environment preferred.
- Certification in transportation of dangerous goods (ground, ocean, and air) preferred.
- Certification to operate forklifts and overhead cranes preferred.
- Experience with load securing methods preferred.
- Must be proficient in spoken and written English as well as the local language
Technical Skills
- Basic knowledge of ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Navision).
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Basic knowledge of SharePoint.
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Teams.
