Enlisted Both Overview As an Information Technology Support Specialist, you will play a key role in ensuring that our frameworks are operational, secure, and efficient. You will manage and defend essential networks while participating in cyber operations and intelligence production to support decision-making across various naval operations. Key Responsibilities Design, operate, and secure networks, servers, and communication systems that enable naval operations. Conduct offensive and defensive cyber operations while investigating potential vulnerabilities and adversary activities. Collect and analyze critical information to create valuable intelligence products and briefings for leadership. What to Expect This role involves a dynamic work environment characterized by high-tempo, mission-critical tasks, including help desk support, user assistance, network administration, incident response, and maintenance tasks. Continuous professional development will involve utilizing advanced tools in cyber defense and intelligence analysis. You will be required to manage classified information in line with stringent security and information assurance standards, participating in shift work and various duty rotations. Work Environment You will have the opportunity to work worldwide at various information warfare and intelligence commands or on naval vessels. Your role will include exposure to secure facilities, operations centers, and communication spaces, all demanding high levels of teamwork within specialized units. Pathways, Training & Advancement Initial training involves Recruit Training followed by Class A School, with ongoing specialized training in cyber operations, network defense, and more, enabling career advancement based on performance and qualifications. Qualifications To qualify, candidates must meet the following general enlistment or commissioning standards: Legal eligibility to serve, usually requiring U.S. citizenship or approved residency. A high school diploma or equivalent for enlisted roles; bachelor's degree for officers. Age limits specific to the applied program. Compliance with medical and physical fitness standards. A history of good conduct and character, including successful background checks. Performance on required tests, such as the Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery. Eligibility for necessary security clearance levels, at least to the Secret level for certain positions. Additional qualifications
may include a strong interest in technology and analytics and eligibility for higher security clearances.
