Job Title: Inventory Control Associate
Location: Des Moines, WA 98198
Schedule: Full-Time | 100% Onsite
Compensation: Up to $58,240 annually D.O.E.
Position Overview
A growing food manufacturing organization is seeking a detail-oriented Inventory Control Associate to support inventory accuracy and materials tracking across warehouse, production, and third-party storage locations. This hands-on role is responsible for ensuring ingredients, packaging materials, and finished goods are accurately counted, properly recorded, and readily available to support production and customer fulfillment.
The position works closely with warehouse, logistics, and production teams to maintain accurate inventory records and ensure materials move efficiently throughout the facility.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform daily, weekly, and monthly cycle counts of raw materials, packaging, and finished goods to maintain accurate inventory levels.
- Investigate and reconcile inventory discrepancies while maintaining accurate records within ERP/MRP inventory systems.
- Ensure proper FIFO inventory rotation, labeling, and traceability in accordance with operational and quality standards.
- Record and monitor inventory transfers between warehouse and production areas to maintain system accuracy.
- Support receiving processes by verifying quantities and reporting discrepancies.
- Maintain organized storage locations, bin accuracy, and clean inventory areas throughout the facility.
- Assist with physical inventory counts, audits, and compliance documentation as required.
Qualifications
- 1–3 years of experience in inventory control, warehouse operations, or production support.
- Experience in food manufacturing, CPG, or GMP environments is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain high levels of inventory accuracy.
- Basic proficiency with Microsoft Excel and ERP/MRP inventory systems or willingness to learn.
- Ability to perform physical warehouse tasks and lift up to 50–70 lbs. as needed.
- Forklift or pallet jack experience preferred (training may be provided).
