Overview
We are looking for a
highly technical Funnel Data Engineer
who operates close to data engineering. This role owns the design, setup, and ongoing reliability of
Funnel.io connections, transformations, and exports , ensuring marketing and media data is delivered accurately, consistently, and at scale.
This is a hands-on role for someone who understands data models, can write SQL, and is comfortable debugging data issues across multiple systems.
Responsibilities
Own end-to-end Funnel data pipelines, including source connections, field mappings, transformations, and exports Configure and maintain API-based connectors across marketing, media, and analytics platforms Design and manage export schemas for all cloud environments. Ensure consistent data modeling, including field standardization, naming conventions, and granularity alignment Write and review SQL to validate data accuracy, troubleshoot discrepancies, and support downstream analytics Work directly with the Funnel.io support and product teams to submit, track, and resolve tickets, ensuring questions are answered, issues are unblocked, and follow-ups are closed Monitor data freshness, completeness, and volume; identify and resolve data quality and latency issues Partner closely with data engineering to align Funnel outputs with broader ingestion and ELT pipelines Document technical configurations, data contracts, and assumptions for long-term maintainability Serve as the technical point of contact for Funnel-related data questions and escalations Qualifications
Strong understanding of relational data modeling (joins, keys, normalization, aggregation) Proficiency in SQL for validation, reconciliation, and exploratory analysis Experience configuring data connectors, exports, and pipelines (Funnel experience preferred) Familiarity with cloud data warehouses and downstream consumption patterns Understanding of marketing/media data structures (campaigns, placements, creatives, metrics, dimensions) What sets you apart
Extremely organized and methodical, you design systems that scale and are easy to support You think in terms of data contracts and repeatable patterns, not one-off fixes You proactively identify edge cases before they become production issues You can operate independently while collaborating effectively with engineering and analytics teams Success in this role
Funnel data pipelines are stable, well-structured, and production-ready Exports integrate cleanly into warehouse and BI environments with minimal rework Data issues are identified early and resolved with clear root-cause analysis Funnel is treated as a reliable, engineered data layer-not a manual reporting tool

Compensation Range: $87,210.00 - $113,500.00. This is the pay range the Company believes it will pay for this position at the time of this posting. Consistent with applicable law, compensation will be determined based on the skills, qualifications, and experience of the applicant along with the requirements of the position, and the Company reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time. Temporary roles may be eligible to participate in our freelancer/temporary employee medical plan through a third-party benefits administration system once certain criteria have been met. Temporary roles may also qualify for participation in our 401(k) plan after eligibility criteria have been met. For regular roles, the Company will offer medical coverage, dental, vision, disability, 401k, and paid time off. The Company anticipates the application deadline for this job posting will be 5/18/26.
