Job Description
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education:
Minimum of an associate degree in Computer Electronics, Science, Technology, or a similar field, with emphasis on network management.
Training and Experience :
A minimum of two years of current advanced computer and network management experience. Familiar with current operating systems. Knowledge of advanced computer and network systems.Proficient in basic network administration and maintenance, including cabling and hardware/switches, allowing the ITST to install and troubleshoot network/connections.
Computer Skills :
Possess or obtain a network administrator account, which includes obtaining and maintaining the DoDM 8140.03 Cyberspace Workforce Qualification and Management Program Basic Level of proficiency.
Security Clearance:
Must possess and maintain a Secret security clearance.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Standardize, configure, and support desktop and network systems, including NIPRNet and SIPRNet environments
Administer hardware/software upgrades, installations, and backups
Maintain user accounts, permissions, and security controls via Active Directory
Diagnose and resolve Tier II/III hardware and software issues
Use scanning tools and patching software to secure systems
Provide technical guidance and end-user support
Troubleshoot delivery system performance issues.
Perform other incidental and related duties as required and assigned.
