Job Summary
Seeking a highly skilled Sr. Data Engineer to support the modernization of enterprise data by transforming legacy sources, implementing MDM capabilities, strengthening data quality visibility through Tableau, and optimizing integrations across Snowflake, SAP, NetSuite, and related systems. This role requires a forward-thinking engineer who can bridge legacy environments with modern platforms while driving scalable, governed data ecosystems. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in complex data environments and is experienced working with legacy system extracts, database integrations, and enterprise-scale ETL/ELT pipelines.
The Sr. Data Engineer will play a critical role in enabling clean, reliable, and timely data flow across Snowflake, SAP, future MDM tool, and multiple upstream and downstream business systems.
Job Location
This role will work remote based in the US. Job Responsibilities
Design, build, and maintain robust ETL/ELT pipelines to extract data from legacy systems, APIs, databases, and cloud applications. Develop and optimize data integration processes between Snowflake, SAP, NetSuite, and other organizational data sources. Implement strategies for large-scale data ingestion, transformation, and delivery. Create and maintain scalable data models in Snowflake. Ensure data quality, completeness, and consistency. Transform complex legacy system extracts into structured, analytics-ready datasets. Reverse-engineer existing data structures to support migration and modernization. Implement data governance practices, including metadata and lineage. Monitor and tune pipeline performance. Collaborate with MDM, business analysts, and technical teams. Troubleshoot integration and pipeline issues. MDM tool selection and technical implementation. Job Requirements
Required
10+ years' experience in a manufacturing environment. Extensive experience in data engineering or integration engineering. Strong expertise with Snowflake. Experience extracting and integrating data from SAP and/or NetSuite. Skilled and experienced in SQL, Python, Snowflake, Tableau, and ETL/ELT frameworks. Familiarity with data warehousing concepts. Experience with legacy data sources and flat file processing. Preferred
Experience implementing a Master Data Management tool. Experience with integration tools such as Informatica, SAP Data Services, or Fivetran. Background in transforming legacy system data for migration or modernization. Ability to create Tableau datasets and dashboards focused on data quality insights. Familiarity with enterprise-grade integration platforms supporting high-volume, multi-system connectivity. Knowledge of MDM principles. Background in manufacturing, supply chain, or ERP-focused environments. Exposure to APIs or event-driven architectures. Job Compensation
