Position Description: We are seeking a highly skilled Sr. Applications Analyst with extensive experience in Epic Beacon to support a leading health system's Electronic Health Record (EHR) Pharmacy department. This remote role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to a dynamic academic medical center committed to excellence in patient care, research, and education. The successful candidate will implement, optimize, and maintain IT solutions, troubleshoot complex issues, and collaborate closely with clinical and technical teams to enhance system performance and workflows. Key Responsibilities:
Lead the implementation, configuration, and maintenance of the Epic Beacon application in a large healthcare setting. Troubleshoot application issues, submit vendor service requests, and lead correction efforts. Collaborate with clinical, pharmacy, and IT teams to understand workflows and optimize system functionality. Develop and document solutions, provide end-user training, and support system upgrades. Serve as the primary IT liaison, coordinating technical requests and ensuring project timelines are met. Research emerging healthcare technology trends and assess their applicability to optimize workflows. Lead and mentor team members; develop team competencies and documentation. Participate in special projects, workshops, and application interest groups, ensuring alignment with organizational goals. Demonstrate a commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives across the organization. Required Skills & Qualifications:
Minimum 5 years of relevant experience, including at least 3 years of direct experience with IT applications in healthcare. Epic Beacon certification required. Associate's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience. Deep understanding of the system development life cycle and application configuration. Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently with limited supervision. Knowledge of pharmacy systems and infusion scheduling experience is a plus but not required. Ability to collaborate effectively across multidisciplinary teams. Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, computer science, health informatics, or related field. Experience supporting and training EHR systems, particularly Epic modules.
