We are seeking a diligent Receiving Clerk to manage the intake of goods at our bustling Los Angeles, California facility. In this crucial role within our logistics network, you will be responsible for accurately recording incoming shipments, verifying contents against purchase orders, and inspecting items for damage. Your attention to detail and organizational skills are vital for maintaining accurate inventory records and ensuring a seamless flow of materials. We are committed to a safe working environment and expect all team members to strictly follow Safety protocols, including the proper use of PPE. This position offers a great opportunity to be a part of a high-volume distribution center.
Responsibilities:
- Receive, unload, and inspect all incoming shipments.
- Verify the quantity and quality of goods received against purchase orders and packing slips.
- Accurately record received items into the warehouse management system (WMS).
- Identify and report any discrepancies, damages, or short shipments.
- Tag and label incoming inventory appropriately.
- Stage goods for put-away by other warehouse staff.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe receiving area.
- Adhere to all company Safety regulations and wear required PPE.
Qualifications:
Previous experience as a receiving clerk or in a warehouse receiving role is highly preferred. Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry. Ability to perform physical tasks, including moderate Lifting. Basic computer skills and familiarity with WMS is a plus. Good organizational and time management skills. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced logistics environment. Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods. A strong commitment to Safety and following procedures is essential.
