We are hiring a Shipping Clerk for our San Jose, California facility! This role is essential for the effective management of our outbound logistics. You will be responsible for preparing shipments, processing documentation, and coordinating with our shipping partners to ensure the timely and accurate delivery of products. This is a key position within our warehouse operations, demanding meticulous attention to detail and a proactive approach. Be prepared to contribute to a fast-paced environment where Safety and efficiency are top priorities. You will be an integral part of our supply chain network.
Responsibilities:
- Process and prepare all outgoing shipments with high accuracy.
- Generate shipping labels and all necessary shipping documentation.
- Conduct thorough checks to ensure order accuracy before dispatch.
- Arrange and coordinate with shipping carriers for optimal pickup schedules.
- Monitor shipment progress and proactively address any potential delays.
- Maintain meticulous records of all shipping activities.
- Efficiently utilize shipping software and related hardware.
- Ensure all shipments are correctly packed, labeled, and comply with all regulations.
- Strictly adhere to all Safety protocols and consistently use required PPE.
- The role requires regular involvement in Lifting of packages and materials.
- Promote a culture of Safety and contribute to efficient warehouse logistics.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; further education is a plus.
- Previous experience in shipping, receiving, or logistics coordination.
- Proficiency in shipping software (e.g., FedEx Ship Manager, UPS WorldShip) and MS Office Suite.
- Exceptional organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Keen attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
- Ability to thrive in a demanding, fast-paced work environment.
- Understanding of shipping carrier services and logistics best practices.
- Demonstrated commitment to Safety and the correct use of PPE.
- Must be capable of frequent Lifting, up to 50 lbs.
