We are looking for a reliable and organized Shipping & Receiving Associate to join our growing team in Nashville, Tennessee. This role is integral to our warehouse operations, ensuring that inbound and outbound shipments are processed accurately and efficiently. You will be responsible for managing the flow of goods, maintaining inventory records, and coordinating with carriers. Responsibilities:
- Receive, verify, and document incoming shipments, checking for damage and discrepancies.
- Unload trucks using appropriate equipment and assist with the movement of goods within the warehouse.
- Prepare outgoing shipments by picking, packing, and labeling orders accurately.
- Coordinate with shipping carriers to schedule pickups and deliveries, ensuring timely transit.
- Maintain accurate inventory records, conducting regular cycle counts and stock takes.
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely.
- Ensure the warehouse is clean, organized, and adheres to all safety standards.
- Generate shipping labels and necessary documentation for all outbound shipments.
- Implement and follow all safety procedures, including the mandatory use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Communicate effectively with team members, supervisors, and external partners.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience in a shipping and receiving role or similar warehouse environment.
- Proficiency in using warehouse management systems (WMS) and computer software.
- Ability to operate material handling equipment, including forklifts (certification a plus).
- Physical stamina to perform tasks such as lifting, standing for long periods, and manual labor.
- Capability of lifting up to 50 pounds consistently.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Knowledge of logistics and inventory control principles.
- A strong commitment to workplace safety and the use of PPE.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
