As a Senior Software Engineer on our Payments team, you will play a crucial role in developing innovative payment solutions that empower both consumers and large-scale institutions within the cryptocurrency ecosystem. We are focused on building state-of-the-art payment infrastructures and experiences to facilitate the smooth transition from traditional currency to crypto, ultimately enhancing financial access. Our solutions prioritize simplicity and scalability, aiding in the adoption of crypto-centric products such as Decentralized Finance (DeFi), Decentralized Applications (DApps), and cryptocurrency exchanges. Key Responsibilities: Develop new services to address key product and business demands using Golang.
Design scalable systems to tackle unique challenges with modern cloud technology and best practices.
Define a long-term vision for maintaining and scaling our backend systems and the respective teams.
Collaborate with engineers, designers, product managers, and senior leadership to translate our product and technical vision into actionable quarterly roadmaps.
Create high-quality, thoroughly tested code to meet customer needs.
Desired Qualifications: Minimum of 5 years of software engineering experience.
Proven experience in designing, building, scaling, and maintaining production services, with a deep understanding of service-oriented architecture.
Dedication to writing high-quality, well-tested code that aligns with customer needs.
A strong passion for creating an open financial system that connects the world.
Demonstrated ability to utilize generative AI tools and copilots in daily workflows, continually learning and applying best practices for efficiency, cost savings, and quality improvements.
Additional Preferred Skills: Experience with rapid growth environments (from startup to mid-size).
Background in building growth experiments or conducting A/B tests.
Familiarity with Blockchains (Bitcoin, Ethereum, etc.).
Experience in breaking down a monolithic architecture into microservices.
Proficient in technologies such as Golang, Ruby, Docker, Sinatra, Rails, Postgres, MongoDB, or Redshift.
Experience in building financial, high-reliability, or security systems.

The target annual base salary for this position may range as follows: $186,065 - $218,900 USD (excluding equity and bonus). Total compensation will also encompass equity and bonus eligibility along with benefits (including medical, dental, vision, and 401(k)).
