As a Package Engineer, you will report directly to the Project Manager and take charge of managing trade-contractor packages within the infrastructure and substructure team. Your leadership will guide a team of engineers and subcontractors to deliver the project with the utmost standards of safety and performance.

• Taking ownership of your package, ensuring all works are planned, safe, and that the site is clean and organized.
• Promoting a culture of safety leadership with a ‘boots on the ground’ mentality.
• Planning and overseeing logistical requirements in collaboration with the Works Manager and Logistics Contractor.
• Producing short-term programmes and phase plans to accelerate works and mitigate issues.
• Monitoring progress and performance, analyzing trends, and reporting implications to the Project Manager.
• Collaborating with the infrastructure team to maintain a holistic view of the project.
• Ensuring compliance with contract documents, specifications, and drawings.
• Reviewing and approving Inspection and Test Plans.
• Conducting quality inspections using FieldView.
• Managing technical submittals and requests for information.
• Recording key events and activities while promoting the SRM Build Sure culture.

• Strong leadership skills with a proven track record in delivering multi-million-pound building projects.
• Experience managing structural steelwork and façade packages for high-profile projects.
• Ability to lead weekly progress meetings and implement corrective actions.
• Expertise in procurement and negotiating with suppliers for quality materials.
• Collaboration with design and engineering teams to resolve technical challenges.
• Knowledge of NEC contracts and managing Early Warning Notices and Compensation Events.
• Familiarity with construction software packages such as FieldView, 4P, Dalux, and Asta is desirable.
