The role of the Senior Network Engineer is to ensure the smooth operation of the organization's data network to provide maximum performance and availability for system users. This role is responsible for designing, installing, maintaining, and supporting LAN, WAN, Cloud, and VoIP infrastructures across all global locations.
The Senior Network Engineer provides high-level technical support for voice and data network systems, creates and maintains network documentation, maintains hardware and software standards, and participates in projects to upgrade to new and/or improved communication equipment and procedures. The Senior Network Engineer must be well versed in advanced engineering and administration of multiprotocol routers, multilayer switches, network security concepts/devices, and network management systems. This position requires excellent problem management and customer service skills.
Essential Duties Provide recommendations on strategic direction for network and telecommunications functions to management. Ensure problem identification, isolation, and resolution within established service level objectives for routers, switches, SD-WAN appliances, load balancers, firewalls, VPNs, wireless, and associated network equipment across all domestic and international locations. Responsible for initial design and implementation of network and telecommunication services for new business offices and upgrades to existing offices in accordance with established standards. Work with assigned teams to conduct detailed investigations of network and telecom issues within local area networks, wide area networks, cloud, and telecom infrastructure, including formal root cause analysis. Provide network and telecom support and training for end users, other IT technical groups, and implementation teams. Direct assigned teams in the implementation, configuration, and maintenance of network and telecom equipment using internal and/or established industry standards. Oversee activities of network and telecom vendors to ensure established service level agreements are met. Ensure appropriate creation and maintenance of technical and training documentation for the function. Monitor network and telecom infrastructure; summarize and report on performance statistics. Perform and participate in analysis and research of new technologies and solutions. Apply professional business and technical knowledge when working with clients, other IT groups, and vendors on tasks such as identifying options, selection, analysis, design, installation, maintenance, coding, and testing of information technology solutions specific to network and telecom requirements. Demonstrate a strong commitment to quality client service by being proactive and responsive to client needs. Participate in shared on-call duties supporting the global network, sites, and services. Hybrid office work environment with local remote work options available. Minimum Qualification Requirements
Education
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential functions of the job.
Experience
Minimum of 10 years of overall experience. Minimum of 7 years of in-depth experience working with Cisco/Meraki routers and switches, wireless, SD-WAN, firewalls, and load balancers. CCNP or CCIE preferred, or equivalent level of work experience. Skills
Proven experience leading, mentoring, and developing a strong and technically diverse team. In-depth knowledge of local, wide area, and cloud network concepts, designs, and implementations. In-depth knowledge of firewall design, implementation, secure maintenance, and operation in a global environment. Strong knowledge of ZTNA and SASE concepts and implementations, including SD-WAN, SSE capabilities, network segmentation, VPN solutions and alternatives, and modern cloud network and security practices. Advanced knowledge of routing and switching protocols including static routing, OSPF, and BGP. Working knowledge of Voice over IP (VoIP) and Quality of Service (QoS). Ability to work in diverse teams with strong troubleshooting skills to rapidly identify and resolve issues. In-depth knowledge of wireless networking standards and solutions, including IEEE 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac/ax, authorization, and authentication methods. Ability to monitor and interpret network performance data to identify real and potential problem areas and implement improvements. Ability to design and deliver integrated technical solutions for data communications requirements. Strong understanding of network security risks and issues, with ability to implement hardware and software solutions to minimize risk. Demonstrated ability to research, evaluate, and recommend changes in evolving technical environments. Ability to analyze business and technical problems and design or implement IT solutions aligned with business needs. Working knowledge of multiple business disciplines, including manufacturing and R&D environments. Ability to work in an Agile-based environment to complete projects and initiatives. Familiarity with ITIL-based processes including incident, request, release, change, and problem management. Demonstrated project leadership skills with the ability to create work breakdown structures. Proven ability to educate and train others. Proficiency with relevant PC software applications. Cisco CCNP or CCIE certification is a plus. Physical Requirements

Target Pay Range:
$96,600.00 to $120,700.00 (Salary determined by education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, internal equity, and market alignment) Target Bonus:
7.0% of base salary
