The Data Governance Analyst is responsible for implementing and managing data governance frameworks to ensure data quality, compliance, and effective data management practices across the organization. This role involves collaborating with various teams to develop and enforce data policies, standards, and procedures that promote accountability and transparency. The analyst also conducts regular assessments of data assets, identifying areas for improvement and ensuring alignment with business objectives. By fostering a culture of data stewardship, the Data Governance Analyst plays a vital role in maximizing the value of data as a strategic resource. Responsibilities: Create and implement data governance policies and procedures to ensure data integrity, security, and compliance with regulations. Monitor and assess data quality across the organization, identifying issues and implementing corrective actions. Work with cross-functional teams to establish data standards and ensure adherence to governance policies. Act as a liaison between data owners and users, promoting best practices in data management and stewardship. Provide training sessions and resources to educate staff on data governance principles and practices. Ensure that data handling practices comply with relevant laws and regulations, such as GDPR or HIPAA. Catalog and manage data assets, ensuring they are properly classified and accessible to authorized users. Develop and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of data governance initiatives. Maintain comprehensive documentation of data governance processes, standards, and workflows for transparency and accountability. Identify potential risks related to data management and develop strategies to mitigate them effectively. Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in data governance, applying new insights to enhance organizational practices. Prepare and present reports on data governance activities, metrics, and outcomes to senior management and stakeholders. How You'll Be Successful: Work Experience: At least 3 years as a data governance analyst or equivalent role in Data & Analytics Technology, and/or Healthcare industry - required Education: Four-year bachelor's degree or equivalent experience - required Graduate or professional work or advanced degree; or equivalent experience - preferred A Place Where You Belong We put our people first.
