We are a physical therapist owned and operated, growing private practice of outpatient orthopedic physical therapy organization based out of Macon, Ga. Here, our focus is to provide compassionate care designed to get patients better in efficient ways. At MVP Physio Dr. you will feel a culture of care, human connection, and compassion. *Overview:*
As a Doctor of Physical Therapy, you will work under the general supervision of the Manager of Physical Medicine and according to departmental policies and procedures regarding referrals and standards of treatment, perform objective assessments as well as comprehensive individualized treatment programs for patients of all ages.
* Initial assessment for each patient upon receiving physician's order or direct access referral according to departmental policies and procedures and standards of care.
* Administer appropriate modalities, exercise regimes, and/or treatment procedures according to departmental policies and procedures and standards of care.
* Promote continuous quality improvement, education, and a positive atmosphere.
* Maintain current CPR and BLS certification and state licensure.
* Typical age range seen is 13-100.
* Treating Spine, Sports, and Orthopedics - musculoskeletal and neuromuscular conditions.
*Qualifications*:
Education: Doctorate in Physical Therapy (required)
Licensure: Current Georgia license of Physical Therapy or eligible for Georgia licensure.
Experience: One year experience preferred but new graduates will be considered.
Certifications: Current CPR certification, Dry Needling (preferred but not necessary).
Preferred Experience: Experience caring for patients in outpatient general orthopedics and/or sports orthopedics. (rotations will count for New Graduates)

Hello, I wanted to personally write something for those who may be considering applying for this job.
We are a heavy manual-based clinic where you will utilize and apply your knowledge that you have gained from your previous jobs and your schooling. I will personally provide weekly one-on-one mentorship for us to train on your skills, for me to teach you everything I have learned, and for you to teach me the things you have learned throughout your experiences.
You will have one full hour with each patient, for initial evaluations and follow up visits. This will allow you to take your time to work on your skills and perfect them. We utilize Dry Needling daily, Blood Flow Restriction, Hypervibe Whole Body Vibration, CTPS for Tennis, TPI for Golf, Stanley Paris MTC, Normatec Training, Spinal and Extremity Manipulations, along with new up and coming treatments.
The patients here are like family. They are not just another number on someone's schedule. The patients will become friends and will rely on you for your expert opinion on surgeries, the latest treatments, or general questions about their aches and pains.
We focus heavily on educating each patient on their condition and teaching them preventative techniques for their diagnosis. You are not just a "physical therapist" here at MVP Physio Dr., you are a "Doctor of Physical Therapy." 80-90% of patients will come here via Direct Access, and we will be their first line of action towards their health and evaluating and guiding them in the right direction towards their goals.
We are not looking for just any physical therapist. We want someone who is motivated, driven, creative, talkative, energetic, friendly, and likes to have fun.
