Openings: 1Overview HireNow Staffing is partnering with a leading industrial manufacturing organization to hire a seasoned Industrial Engineer for its onsite operation in Decorah, Iowa. This is a high-impact role for an engineer who thrives on improving processes, eliminating inefficiencies, and building scalable manufacturing systems.The ideal candidate brings strong Lean manufacturing expertise , proven success removing production bottlenecks, and the leadership ability to drive continuous improvement across both shopfloor and office workflows. This is not a support-only role — this engineer will serve as a hands-on change agent influencing performance, throughput, and culture. Key Responsibilities The Industrial Engineer will play a central role in optimizing manufacturing performance and operational efficiency. Core responsibilities include:

• Lead Lean transformation initiatives using tools such as 5S, Standard Work, Visual Management, Kaizen, Value Stream Mapping, Pace-to-Takt, and 8D
• Identify, analyze, and eliminate process bottlenecks impacting throughput, labor efficiency, and flow
• Drive waste reduction efforts across production, material handling, and administrative operations
• Standardize manufacturing processes, layouts, sequences, work instructions, and production methods
• Develop time studies, capacity models, labor standards, and production planning tools to support scaling
• Improve facility and equipment layouts with a focus on safety, ergonomics, and process optimization
• Manage and develop Industrial Engineering operators and technicians, ensuring high accountability and performance
• Coach frontline leads, supervisors, and managers to strengthen a culture of continuous improvement
• Own capital expenditure projects including equipment design, vendor selection, procurement, installation, and ROI evaluation
• Partner closely with the Operations Manager and Site Leadership Team to execute long-term CI roadmaps

• Bachelor's degree in engineering (required — no exceptions)
• 5+ years of Industrial Engineering experience in a manufacturing environment
• Demonstrated success improving production throughput and eliminating operational bottlenecks
• Strong foundation in data collection, root cause analysis, and structured problem solving
• Deep working knowledge of Lean principles and hands-on implementation experience
• Proven ability to communicate effectively with hourly teams, supervisors, and executive leadership
• Self-driven, adaptable, and comfortable operating in fast-paced, evolving environments
• Must be able to work fully onsite in Decorah, Iowa

• Experience leading Lean efforts in both manufacturing and office operations
• Prior people leadership experience managing IE teams or technical staff
• Background supporting high-volume or complex industrial production environments
• Strong CI ownership with measurable cost savings and operational performance impact

• Local or nearby candidates are strongly preferred
• Relocation support is available for qualified candidates willing to relocate
• This is a hands-on onsite role requiring daily presence in the facility
