Your RoleAs an Advisory Teacher, you will play a crucial role in supporting the education of children across the South region. You will provide guidance and support to foster carers, schools, and a network of professionals dedicated to the well-being of ISP children.
Key Responsibilities- Advise on educational provisions for children within the centre.
- Monitor the educational progress of all children associated with the centre.
- Support centre staff on educational matters.
- Assist in developing education support policies and procedures.
- Attend multi-disciplinary team meetings to advise on childcare and personal education plans.
- Liaise with professionals to ensure each child's educational needs are met.
- Work in partnership with children, young people, foster parents, and professionals to support assessment and planning processes.
- Offer advice to schools as needed.
- Maintain accurate and effective education case records.
- Build relationships with schools, virtual schools, and local authority professionals.
- Qualified Teacher Status.
- Relevant classroom experience.
- Flexibility and creativity in supporting children's education.
- Ability to make effective decisions in complex educational situations.
- Understanding of the educational needs and entitlements for children and young people.
- Experience working with looked-after children is advantageous.
