Seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Inventory Control Specialist to join our team in sunny San Diego, California. This pivotal role is responsible for maintaining the integrity of our inventory data, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in our warehouse operations and broader logistics network. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills and a proactive approach to identifying and resolving inventory discrepancies. Your duties will include conducting thorough cycle counts, reconciling variances, managing stock levels, implementing inventory control procedures, and performing root cause analysis for any identified issues. This role requires collaboration with various departments, including receiving, shipping, and operations, to ensure seamless inventory flow. While the role is primarily focused on data management, occasional physical tasks may be required, such as moving items up to 25 pounds. Maintaining a secure and safe environment is paramount; adherence to all company safety policies and the correct use of PPE is mandatory. Experience with inventory management software and ERP systems is highly valued. Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team are essential. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced professional looking to make a significant impact on inventory accuracy and operational efficiency. Responsibilities include analyzing inventory data, developing strategies for inventory reduction, overseeing the put-away process, managing returns and damaged goods, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements related to inventory. You will be instrumental in optimizing our inventory management processes.
