We are looking for a
Systems Quality Assurance Test Engineer
to join our product development team and help ensure the quality and reliability of our diagnostic systems. In this role, you will design, develop, and implement cost-effective test methods for products throughout all phases of development-from early prototypes to released products. You will create test plans, design test fixtures and equipment, run experiments and validations, and help troubleshoot issues so that our products perform reliably in clinical environments. This role works on problems of moderate scope, using sound judgment within established procedures and collaborating closely with cross-functional teams. Key Responsibilities
Develop a thorough understanding of our products and how they are used in clinical practice to design, develop, and test next-generation diagnostic systems.
Define and develop test methods and procedures for new and existing products.
Perform experiments and validations, collect data, and create clear, detailed test reports.
Identify required hardware/sensors and software components for manufacturing and test equipment.
Recommend and support upgrades and repairs of test equipment and fixtures.
Review system-level documentation (e.g., HRS, SRS) to ensure safety, functional, and third-party requirements are covered in system-level testing.
Continuously seek to improve test methods, efficiency, and product quality.
Work closely with and contribute to cross-functional teams (e.g., Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality).
Build strong working relationships with Design Assurance, Regulatory Affairs, Clinical Affairs, Clinical Applications, and other functional partners.
Provide regular communication and updates on progress, schedule, budget, risks, and resource needs.
Qualifications
Education
Preferred minimum: Technical Bachelor's Degree (e.g., Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related).
Candidates with a non-technical college degree may be considered with additional experience.
Experience
With a technical Bachelor's degree: typically 1-2 years of relevant experience.
With a Master's degree: typically 0-2 years of relevant experience.
With a non-technical degree: typically 2-5 years of related experience.
Experience using MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.).
Experience troubleshooting and resolving issues with equipment and processes.
Skills and Competencies
Strong understanding of operating systems (including real-time), embedded and application software, hardware, and systems testing best practices.
Experience testing functional, design, and interface aspects of a commercial product at the board, subsystem, and system levels.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, including mechanical drawings and circuit schematics.
Working knowledge of test automation and its application in both software and hardware environments.
Hands-on experience using technical equipment such as multimeters, oscilloscopes, etc.
Training, experience, and aptitude with electro-mechanical equipment, soldering, and PCB design and testing.
Strong written, verbal, organizational, and interpersonal skills; able to create precise, accurate technical documentation.
Demonstrated ability to be a strong contributor to a high-performing team.
Experience in medical imaging or working in an FDA-regulated or similarly regulated environment is a plus.

The annualized base salary range for this role is $79,700 - $124,800 and is bonus eligible. Final compensation packages will ultimately depend on factors including relevant experience, skillset, knowledge, geography, education, business needs and market demand.
