Discipline Description
In quality control roles, individuals are responsible for ensuring that products, processes, and systems meet quality standards and specifications through the implementation of quality assurance processes and procedures. Quality Control personnel verify products, processes, and systems meet quality standards and specifications through inspections, surveillances, evaluations, and other verification processes.
Some Typical Duties & Responsibilities Include:
Provide guidance to and approval of planning documentation, which specifies QA Inspections to determine the compliance of processes, activities, structures, systems and components (SSCs).
Perform and document QA Independent Inspections in accordance with Procedures, Purchase Order and Design requirements.
Take the necessary steps to stop work if continuing the job is unsafe or fails to satisfy Inspection acceptance criteria.
Generate post Inspection documentation to include inspection records, logs, and work orders.
Required Qualifications
* Associate's degree in relevant field plus completion of applicable certification or on-the-job training plus at least 1.5 years of experience (YOE) in an applicable role, OR High school diploma plus completion of applicable certification or on-the-job training plus at least three years of experience (YOE) in an applicable role * Equivalencies to experience and education requirements will be considered *Level 2 Inspection Qualification *Maintenance Qualifications, Electrical, Instrumentation, Mechanical

Security Clearance Information
SRNS is required by DOE to conduct a pre-employment drug & alcohol test and background review that includes checks of personal references, credit, criminal records, and employment history, and education verifications. Positions with SRNS may require applicants to obtain and maintain a DOE L or Q-level security clearance, which requires U.S. citizenship. Factors such as pre-employment background review results, dual citizenship status, and unpaid and/or unfiled taxes may impact your ability to obtain a security clearance.
