Overview Responsible for supporting the operation of the risk function by extracting, querying, evaluating, analyzing, and interpreting datadriven insights related to risks of varying complexity and for identifying and implementing approaches and solutions to mitigate those risks. May have a focus on one or more particular types of risk such as financial or operational risk and may provide analytical insights, reporting, and recommendations to management based on this knowledge base. Typically requires an individual with a professional qualification in one or more areas of risk management or its equivalent. Growing an understanding of business needs and objectives through data analysis and reporting. Solve a range of problems with increasing scope and complexity by leveraging data, metrics, querying, and analytical techniques. Developing professional with a strong analytical skill set and demonstrated proficiency with procedures, techniques, and data analysis tools.

Responsibilities Plan the research for and development of specialized risk assessment scopes Collaborate with management and personnel to optimize risk assessment scope development Identify potential business risks, operational and regulatory process deficiencies and improvement opportunities Gather and synthesize data; present conclusions and offer risk mitigation, remediation and process improvement solutions to management Lead/conduct and provide expertise with the administration of specialized risk assessment and testing lifecycles of business activities, processes, policies and procedures for operational effectiveness and compliance with regulatory requirements, federal and state laws, and Navy Federal's quality control standards, policies and procedures Qualifications Required Qualifications Basic understanding of business and operating environment Knowledge and understanding of risk-based auditing techniques and methodologies Knowledge of applicable federal and state regulations, company policies, and industry best practices Experience with project management skills Knowledge of operational and regulatory risk controls concepts and practices Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Auditing, or related field or equivalent combination of training, education and experience
Desired Qualifications Master's Degree in a related field or equivalent combination of training, education, and experience with demonstrated experience in querying and analyzing large datasets, developing reports, and translating data into actionable insights Experience using data analytics and business intelligence tools and querying languages to extract, analyze, and report on data, such as SQLbased querying, data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI or similar), and modern analytics or data platforms
