Job Overview
As a Senior Database Administrator, you will play a crucial role in supporting our application migration and modernization efforts. You will ensure seamless transitions from legacy systems to modern platforms, maintaining data integrity, security, and compliance with state IT standards. This is a 12-month contract position with the possibility of extension.
Key Responsibilities Plan and execute database migrations for on-premises and cloud environments. Coordinate with application teams to ensure compatibility and minimize downtime. Configure and maintain SQL Server and other database platforms. Optimize database performance and implement security measures. Ensure compliance with state and federal data regulations. Requirements
Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field. Relevant experience may substitute for the degree on a year-for-year basis. 3 years' experience as a Senior SQL Server DBA. 1 year of experience migrating application databases between versions and platforms. 5 years of Backup/Restore experience. Proficiency in SQL Server Integration Services and T-SQL. Experience managing roles, permissions, and encryption. Preferences
Experience implementing Transparent Data Encryption (TDE). Familiarity with Database Design and Normalization. PowerShell scripting skills.
