What you''ll do:
The Freight Specialist will be responsible for the following:
Review and analyze Freight Invoices that are kicked out (exceptions) to CTC three-matching process.
Prepare Debit | Credit notes to Carrier accounts to offset IDR Freight Invoices that were over-paid.
Manage, update and reconcile Freight Audit Invoice Dispute Resolution Master Database.
Audit Carrier Invoices that are under $200 that are processed automatically in Freightsmart.
Daily Audit of Freight Invoices (count & amount) that were interfaced to CTC ERP People soft system.
Communicate daily with Carriers and internal clients on their inquiries.
Evaluate Non-Merch subledger accounts for imbalances between transactions.
Fill out Vendor Maintenance Form u2013 Submit completed form to Vendor Maintenance Team.
Work with Freight Audit Team leads to ensure that all Carriers are setup in CTC systems.
At CTC Fiscal month-end analyze and prepare accruals that reconcile to carrier open Freight Invoices.
Assist with internal and external Auditor requirements and requests.
Participate in ad-hoc projects, analysis, and preparation of reports for management, as requested.
What you bring:
University degree in Finance, Accounting or related-Business discipline - Working towards a Designation (CPA, CFA) is an asset
3 to 5 yearsu2019 experience in Freight Account Payables, Billings or Audit environment
Financial acumen, general accounting knowledge u2013 background
Effective communicator, written and verbal, advanced interpersonal skill
Advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Access
Client focus, the ability to interact and build relationships with all levels of the organization
Excellent multi-tasking skill, able to work independently and collaboratively with team
CTC Supply Chain - Transportation experience, is an asset
Experience using Oracle Transportation Management and PeopleSoft systems

Our typical hiring range is between $44,000.00 and $73,000.00 . Salary decisions are also dependent on other factors such as your experience, job-related knowledge, skills and competencies, market location, industry benchmarks, internal
equity
and other role-specific requirements.
