* Multi-year, strong, hands-on experience with Asterisk (dialplan + AGI) in a professional role. As an alternative will consider the same level of experience with Freeswitch

*Overview*
We are a confidential, Pittsburgh-based telecom infrastructure company building a carrier-grade, multi-POP telecom platform across three data centers.
This role will take an existing proof-of-concept system and lead the transition to full production deployment on bare metal infrastructure.
You will work on a system that is deterministic in its routing behavior, distributed across multiple POPs, integrated with carrier infrastructure, and designed for high availability and predictable failover.
This is a hands-on, senior-level role with significant ownership across systems, database, and telecom layers.
* Deploy and harden Asterisk-based IVR systems across three POPs
* Implement MySQL Group Replication (single-primary architecture)
* Configure MySQL Router for transparent failover handling
* Build and validate deterministic SQL-based routing logic
* Deploy and configure MinIO with cross-POP replication
* Integrate SIP trunks with MetaSwitch (round-robin call delivery)
* Design and execute failover and resilience testing scenarios
* Create operational runbooks and monitoring strategies
*Responsibilities*

* *MySQL Group Replication or similar clustering (Galera, Percona)*
* Telecom / VoIP / carrier infrastructure experience
* *Object storage systems (MinIO, S3, Ceph)*
* SIP trunking and call routing systems
* *Experience with deterministic or rule-based routing engines*
*WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE*
* All three POPs are deployed and operational
* Calls can land on any POP and behave identically
* Database failover is automatic and transparent
* Recording replication is consistent and predictable
* System behavior is deterministic and testable
Pay: $120,839.48 - $150,462.60 per year
