*Role Overview*
We are seeking a highly skilled Solution Architect to design and deliver innovative cloud and IT solutions for our clients. You will work closely with sales, our delivery team, and customers to translate business requirements into scalable, secure, and cost-effective architectures.
This role is critical in shaping customer IT strategy across cloud, infrastructure, cybersecurity, and managed services.
You will be required to work from our head office (HD4 7NR) an average of two days pw. Living in a comfortable commuting distance is essential.
*Key Responsibilities*
Lead solution design for client projects across cloud, infrastructure, and security
Design and architect solutions across:
* Microsoft Azure / Microsoft 365
* Hybrid infrastructure and networking
* Backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity
* Cyber security frameworks
Ensure solutions are scalable, secure, and aligned with best practices
Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends
Produce high-quality:
* Solution designs
* Statements of Work (SoW)
* Technical proposals and cost models
Working closely with:
* Sales & Account Management
* Service Delivery & Technical Teams
* Marketing (webinars, campaigns, content)
* Contribute to service development and packaging
Support Sales by:
* Leading technical workshops
* Presenting solutions to stakeholders
* Collaborate with delivery teams to ensure successful implementation
This role requires mandatory participation in an out‑of‑hours (OOH) support rota, providing escalation support for critical customer incidents outside normal business hours, with rotas scheduled in advance. You must be available to join a rota system.

Proven experience as a Solution Architect or Senior Technical Consultant
Strong expertise in:
* Microsoft Azure and cloud architecture
* IT infrastructure (servers, networking, virtualisation)
* Cloud security and data protection
Experience designing end-to-end IT solutions
Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills
Ability to work in an agile manner
Backup and disaster recovery solutions
Experience in managed services or consultancy environments
Microsoft certifications (e.g., Azure Solutions Architect Expert)

Experience with:
* ITIL or service management frameworks
* Knowledge of compliance and security standards
