Responsibilities Peraton is seeking a Mid-Level Quality Assurance Engineer to support our Tactical Receive Segment (TRS) Program contract at the Naval Information Warfare Center Pacific (NIWC PAC) facility in San Diego, CA.
As the contractor on the TRS task order, you will be supporting The Tactical Receive Segment (TRS) Software Suite is a collection of applications that processes Integrated Broadcast Service (IBS) tactical data from various sources (e.g., network, ENTR, RCM), filters it based on user-specified criteria, and converts it for distribution to Tactical Data Processors (TDPs)
As a Mid-level Quality Assurance you will support approved upgrades to the TRS Engine, Dashboard, and Installer applications, for both baselines, as well as updating the TRS Wiki and Jira issue tracking tools. This effort will also include Software Trouble Reports (STR’s) written against the TRS software and all TRS related applications and government approved Software Change Proposals (SCP’s). The task includes performing data integrity and verification of TRS work products using approved project tools.
Responsibilities may include:
System and Software requirements development and allocation
Maintaining software specifications updates and changes in the TRS Wiki
Tracking and verification of TRS Problem Change Requests (PCRs) and Software Problem Reports( SPRs)
Perform and schedule audits and verifications of TRS Release products and Jira updates to ensure data integrity
Verify software updates by conducting verification and validation activities against project processes, plans and work products of release products
Work with project managers and leaders on improvement opportunities to establish a culture of continuous improvement
Perform project level data collection and reporting of project metrics
Perform project level risk management using NIWC tools
Working knowledge of the Atlassian Collaboration tools
Provide project management plan updates and support to the Exploitation Systems code project managers
Qualifications Required Qualifications:
A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Mathematics or a related technical field and 5 years of related work experience or MS/MA and 3 years of related work experience
Active SECRET Clearance
Experience with the Capability Maturity Model Improvement (CMMI) framework
Desired Qualifications:
5 years of system or software engineering experience related to tactical data message translation and processing
3 years’ experience using collaboration tools including issue tracking, project management, collaboration and knowledge management and code repositories such as Atlassian products in a software development environment
Experience with Quality Assurance activities that include Process Improvement, Risk Management, and Quality Assurance with the ability to audit quality systems for deficiency identification and correction. Ensure that corrective measures meet acceptable standards and that documentation is compliant with requirements

Target Salary Range
$104,000 - $166,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual’s experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. EEO
