Salary: Up to £35,500 per annum, based on experience

With all our offices rated 'Very Good' by the Care Inspectorate, we take pride in delivering high standards of care to children and families. Our Glasgow team supports foster families and children across various regions, including Paisley, Renfrewshire, and beyond.

Your Role

As a Supervising Social Worker, you will:

  • Support foster carers and their families to achieve outstanding outcomes for children and young people in foster care.
  • Monitor the suitability and competence of foster carers, ensuring a safe and nurturing environment.
  • Guide carers in understanding their roles and responsibilities, including policies and procedures.
  • Provide regular supervision to allocated foster carers in line with our Operational Standards.
  • Collaborate with a team to identify needs within foster families, such as respite and activities.
  • Ensure compliance with all key documentation for children and foster carers.
  • Attend meetings and provide reports for commissioning teams regarding individual care packages.
  • Encourage participation of children and young people in agency development and community resources.
  • Participate in an 'out of hours' support service on a rota basis.
  • Conduct occasional initial home visits and Form F Assessments.
What You Need
  • A Social Work qualification
  • Professional registration with SSSC or equivalent
  • Strong report writing skills
  • Knowledge of relevant legislation and child safeguarding procedures
  • Willingness to travel extensively
  • Confidence in transporting children in challenging situations
  • Full driving licence and access to your own vehicle
