This role is part of a small team of DBAs tasked to design, create, maintain, and manage Command databases, Extract Transform Load (ETL) solutions, indexes, T-SQL and data manipulation scripts, stored procedures, tables and views, functions, reports, and forms.
Provide technical support for database creation, modification, testing, administration, monitoring, tuning, backup, and recovery.
Design and create SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) packages. Provide SQL Server reporting Services (SSRS) for the delivery of information.
Monitor and maintain databases to ensure optimal performance. Implement data management standards, requirements, and specifications. Implement data mining and data warehousing applications.
Software development projects employ an Agile methodology and Scrum framework.
*Education: *Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field preferred, and six (6) years industry experience; OR, Associate’s Degree and eight (8) years of experience; OR Ten (10) years of experience may be substituted for formal degree.
*General Experience*
· Knowledge of database management systems, query languages, table relationships, and views;
· Knowledge in data analysis for the purpose of normalization, ETL, and use in applications and relation to business rules;
· Knowledge of data mining and data warehousing principles;
· Knowledge of Normalized Database table design with proper referential integrity and indexing for performance. Must be able to work with DDL directly when needed, not GUI tools alone.
· Knowledge of Database Programming (T-SQL) to write functions for reuse, views for reuse and obfuscation of complicated multi-table JOINS, and stored procedures for data retrieval and data manipulation done in applications.
· Skill in database creation and development in Microsoft SQL Server to include SSIS, T-SQL, SQL agent jobs, and SQL Reports;
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $135,000.00 - $145,000.00 per year
