Our Charlotte, North Carolina facility is looking for a detail-oriented Inventory Control Specialist to manage and maintain accurate inventory records. This critical role ensures the integrity of our stock levels, which directly impacts our logistics and distribution operations. You will be responsible for conducting cycle counts, investigating inventory discrepancies, and implementing corrective actions to prevent future errors. Your expertise will help optimize stock rotation, minimize shrinkage, and improve overall warehouse efficiency. This position requires a keen eye for detail, strong analytical skills, and a thorough understanding of inventory management best practices. You will work closely with warehouse associates, supervisors, and management to ensure seamless operations. A commitment to safety is paramount, and adherence to all PPE and lifting guidelines is mandatory. Responsibilities:
- Perform regular cycle counts and physical inventory audits.
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies promptly.
- Maintain accurate inventory records in the Warehouse Management System (WMS).
- Analyze inventory data to identify trends and potential issues.
- Implement stock control procedures to optimize inventory levels and reduce waste.
- Monitor stock rotation to ensure product freshness and minimize obsolescence.
- Assist in receiving and put-away processes to ensure accurate initial entry.
- Coordinate with other departments to resolve inventory-related problems.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, including proper use of PPE and safe lifting practices.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements in inventory management and logistics.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
- Proven experience in inventory control or warehouse management.
- Proficiency with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and inventory software.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.
- Knowledge of logistics and supply chain principles.
- Familiarity with safety standards, including PPE and proper lifting techniques.
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
